(esc)On 3 January 1923, the Luxembourg Post was the first postal administration in the world to issue a souvenir sheet, i.e. a sheet on which – in this case – there was only one stamp. The motif shows a view of Luxembourg City and is coloured green, the souvenir sheet is therefore also called the “Grénge souvenir sheet”. The engraving was by Henry-Lucien Cheffer, a French artist from Paris. To mark the occasion, Luxembourg Post is issuing a new edition at EUR 5. The souvenir sheet will be available at IBRA. There is a matching special postmark.
